Saw Robert Plant today at Amoeba's jazz section. He was asking the salesperson for a Johnny Griffin album on the Riverside label, a record he listened to when he was a teenager. Incredible. These kinds of little moments make me very happy.

4 hours at NAMM was enough for me!
Played last night with John & Jeanne Pisano and Chuck Berghofer at an Eastman Strings/Mel Bay showcase.
Always great to play with them, and also heard the Mel Bay guitar trio featuring Vic Juris. It was great to meet him, and hear him play. Beautiful ideas, and great concept, lovely sound. Also met Doug Wamble and hung out with him for a while. He's a great guy.
Back from Brazil, the mixes almost finished. What an odyssey.
Many good things to come this year.
This Thursday I'll be at The Vic in Santa Monica, with Josh Nelson, Ryan McGillicuddy, and Matt Slocum.
Should be fun. And at Dizzy's in SD with Adam Schroeder and Joe Bagg on Friday.
